Discover our array of training courses.

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

At Spearhead Training we have been offering courses in both sales and management since 1981, we now also offer training in business skills and PA and office support.

Our training courses offer your staff an insight into the many different scenarios they could find themselves in, our training courses will teach your staff how to make the best out of a bad situation and to ensure that both your company and your client are happy with the result.

Our sales courses will encourage your staff to try and make a sale where they believe one would not be made, just by slightly changing the techniques they are using. While our management courses will show your managers how to encourage their staff to do well and how to ensure that all staff are fully informed.

A training course may take place over a period of a few days to ensure that the training can delivered in a way which will be effective and beneficial to the people whom are on the course. You can choose whether you attend a training course which is over a few days or a training course which is over one day, the length of course depends on the level you choose to do as the more advanced the course the more information and techniques there are to be learnt.

Sell, Sell, Sell after a sales training course.

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

When it comes to selling not many people are naturals and so
they require a little tuition before they have the confidence to go out and
sell, sell, sell, this is where a sales training course from Spearhead Training
comes into place.

The sales training courses we offer will provide you with
everything you need to be successful when it comes to selling.   Our
course tutors have many years experience selling within many different
industries and they also keep up to date with their sales experience due to being
members of the sales team here at Spearhead Training. The sales courses we
offer are interactive and so you will be able to actively learn new skills and
put them into place which will make it much easier for you to remember them and
put them into place when you are working.

When you are selling you cannot just go straight into a
selling pitch if you are with a customer face to face you need to learn what it
is they are looking for, if you work within a store where there are lots of
different products you will then be able to focus on selling them what they
have come in for and you can try and influence them to buy something which will
go with what they are buying, if a customer comes in looking for cutlery you do
not want to be trying to sell them a suitcase as they could very easily walk
out of your store not having purchased anything. Our courses will show you what
selling techniques should be applied in different situations.

Sales Training Tips – Part 2

Monday, July 18th, 2011

The skills actually required to make you succeed are very different to what is portrayed through silly beliefs.

Many sales professionals are constantly learning and will be throughout their entire career. In fact many sales executives will never ever reach their true potential until they realise and accept that sales are a learned skill.

A sale can be produced at any time of the day, whether it is in the day, evening or even night. However many sales representatives are in belief that the sale will only take place between the normal hours of 9am and 3pm. This may be true with certain businesses that work to such times, but many other businesses work all sorts of different times. Some businesses may only work in the evenings; whereas other businesses may start early in the morning and the owner may only have free time to discuss sales orientated issues within this period.

The problem when it comes to working in sales oriented environments is that you must always have the mindset of someone who is going to succeed no matter what.  Our mind controls everything even sales. Believe it or not this is one of the main reasons why when we tend to make a sale others will follow in succession.

Sales Training Tips – Part 1

Monday, July 4th, 2011

All sales representatives should be money orientated, that is what provides the driving force for you to sell. The enticement that you will receive more money in your pay packet every time you sell is a great incentive for pushing your staff to make your business become successful. However it can be very difficult trying to get your sales team to push themselves to their limits to ensure success.

This is where a sales trainer comes in to their element. A sales trainer will have an established career within the sales industry and will know the skills and knowledge required to motivate you to make yourself in to a success. Sales trainers have the ability to help you and your business achieve a certain degree of results.

The problem with sales training is that many people who work within the field of sales believe that training them is simply a waste of time. Popular myth in which many people believe is that you are born with the ability to sell and that you have either ‘got it’ or ‘not’.

The belief in itself is totally wrong, and has been proven time and time again to be wrong. Selling is just like many other skills and that is that it is a learned skill.

Learn the major sales skills required to sell.

Tuesday, May 10th, 2011

If you work within the telemarketing sector a good notion is to start working backwards and from this determine the amount of calls required to develop the entire week’s appointments. This will then give you an idea of exactly how many phone calls you should be making each week. From this deduction try to increase the time in which you spend with a prospective customer. If you have to spend time arranging appointments, travelling, putting together paper work and attending meetings, try to implement these tasks outside of the time you have to spend with the customer.

Some of the best sales professionals will have at some point attended sales training exercises and courses. This is where you learn the major skills required to sell, such as closing a deal. This is a learned skill and gives you the ability to deal with objections from your prospective customer, such as the cost, service or whatever else, the sales professional knows instinctively exactly how to respond.

There are many other learned skills that are essential in making you a competent sales executive. A sales training course is an essential ingredient for making both the business and employee become successful.

Benefit from sales and management training.

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

At Spearhead Training we believe it is important that all members of staff in your business are correctly trained for their role whether it is in management or sales. If a member of staff is new to the role then training is essential, it is unfair to put a member of staff in at the deep end, they should be aided by other members of team until they can be given in house training or be sent on a training course. There are many things to learn in a new role and some will be easier to learn on the jobs where as others will need to be discussed and explained in depth.

At Spearhead Training we offer management and sales training, where you can choose from a set course or can build your own course by choosing from our choice of modules, tailoring our course to suit your employees job roll much better than our standard training course may.

Sales Training Courses

Friday, February 12th, 2010

With the prospect of a global recession looming, many companies are looking for ways to maximise the sales opportunities that are available and are therefore seeking to provide in-house sales training courses for the sales team. Whilst a recession is a time for cutting back and reducing costs, sales training is seem a an essential survival tool. Many companies treat an in-house sales training courses as their insurance policy in that it prevents lost sales in tough market conditions.

Another factor of concern for companies is sales force motivation in tough market conditions. Therefore they also see sales training as an opportunity to boost morale and therefore productivity.

Typical subjects that are covered in these sessions are justifiying price and increases in price; objection handling and presenting the business case. Most sales people a good at all three disciplines, however sales training can fine tune skills and techniques.

‘Sales Support’ Course

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

Spearhead Training is launching a new course to complement its existing open sales training course portfolio. The course is called Sales Support as is for aimed at anyone that supports the sales function of their organisation.

The course is a one day workshop and the details can be found in our sales training section of our website.

Typical job roles that the course is aimed at are technical back-up, internal sales support staff, credit controllers, engineers, delivery staff. Very often these staff have more regular contact with customers than sales people and are therefore often better placed to identify opportunities. The course is therefore highly complementary to sales training that is provided for the sales team.

This sales training course for support staff covers their role in the sales function; the effects they have the image of their company; identifying opportunities and problems; customer contact skills and relation skills.
